Prospective Substitute Teacher Applicants:

A substitute teacher is one whose credentials have been evaluated by the superintendent, has been determined to be capable of performing substitute teaching duties, and has been approved by the local Board of Education.

The minimum education requirement to be a substitute teacher is a high school diploma or the equivalent.

The daily rate of pay for substitute teachers with current or expired teacher certification is $90.00.  (Proof of certification is required.)  Non-certified substitute teachers will receive $69.00 per day.

Please complete and return the application and forms to the Board of Education office.  Included in this application packet are:

·        application for substitute teaching (with three (3) reference forms)

·        state and federal tax forms

·        eligibility form

·        health form

·        authority for release of information form

·        direct deposit form (optional)

You will find the application and other forms in the personnel documents section of this site. 

After your application and reference forms are received by this office and the criminal history record check has been completed, you will be contacted to attend an orientation session.
