Pamlico County is located in the center of eastern North Carolina.  It is a peninsula surrounded by waters of the Neuse River and Pamlico Sound.

Pamlico County is a rural county comprised of 213,000 acres of land and 151,000 acres of water.  The county's current population is approximately 13,000 and is slowly increasing.
